His set was amazing. But photography and recording were strictly forbidden. "The Supermen" and "Always Crashing" were on the play-list, as was a powerful encore of "O' Superman" Teenage Wildlifers, devotees of Evan Torrie's fansite, and Bowienetters were converging. Bowie had a box fan on stage, and for a couple brief moments, he let it blow his tunic up, and he enjoyed the moment before amazing us with his godlike genius. The accoustics were amazing. The venue tight and cozy. This little slice of time would be power packed with magic...Scott VanHorne

I remember when I first heard the announcement that David Bowie was going to play Aragon Ballroom in Chicago...this is too good to be true. How could it be that David Bowie, an international rock star beloved by millions of adoring fans, is playing a “smaller” venue like Aragon (cap 4500). I don’t recall the exact circumstances but I believe I called Ticketmaster when they first went on sale and was able to secure 2 tickets. I was so excited! I was finally going to see/hear one of my musical heroes! The show was absolutely amazing! Hearing David and his band belting out the “hits” and also tracks from what was his latest album at the time, Earthling, was transcending. Reeves Gabrels scorching guitar was unlike anything I had heard before. Thank you for allowing me to share my memories. God Bless you all!Kenneth Doll
