Amazing. Waited for hours to seem him and it was worth every second. I can still feel the eye-shaped balloons and the power of his voice lifting up a crowd that seemed totally different from the one that was watching the previous performers.

In 1990, Bowie brought the “Sound + Vision” tour to the country. The concerts were held in Rio de Janeiro (Apoteose) and São Paulo (two at the Palmeiras Stadium, and another at Olympia, the former concert hall).

The year was 1997, I was 14 years old and David was less than 3km away from my home. I wasn't a fan of him yet, but I remember that night, in Curitiba (Brazil), where I saw the lights and listened to the songs. I became a Bowie fan in 2014 and, incredible as it may seem, I remember hearing him sing that October night. In my memory it was as if I had been there. I enjoyed all the shows in my backyard, listening clearly (there was Erasure and No Doubt too) but I only remember hearing David Bowie. How I wish I had known this human being. I hope my memory is valid, because I was not old enough to be there and then, at age, I had no money. Please include this show in the event timeline.
